Head of Marketing
About us:
Glitch Productions is an independent, internet-first animation studio creating globally loved original IP across YouTube, streaming, consumer products, and live experiences. Our channels reach over 16 million subscribers and billions of views worldwide, supported by a deeply engaged global fandom.
We are art-first, creator-driven, and fan-obsessed. Our goal is to build long-lasting IP, not just campaigns.
Job Information:
We are seeking a Head of Marketing to own and oversee Glitch Productions’ entire marketing function.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for transforming executive direction and creative output into cohesive, high-performing marketing across all channels. While creative teams execute campaign assets, this role ensures marketing strategy, performance, systems, and decision-making are aligned, measurable, and continuously improving.
The Head of Marketing is expected to be deeply analytical, highly proactive, and comfortable challenging assumptions using data. This role reports directly to executive leadership.
Your duties will include:
Marketing Strategy & Direction
- Own the holistic marketing strategy across all Glitch intellectual property, platforms, and launches.
- Translate executive direction into clear marketing plans, timelines, channel strategies, and success metrics.
- Ensure marketing efforts across content, announcements, merch drops, events, and partnerships are unified, intentional, and on-brand.
- Continuously review marketing performance to pressure-test existing strategies and propose refinements or new approaches.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow a multi-disciplinary marketing team across social, performance, community, partnerships, PR, and events.
- Provide clear direction and accountability while enabling creative teams to execute at a high level.
- Act as a senior decision-maker and escalation point for marketing priorities, resourcing, and trade-offs.
- Build strong working relationships with Creative, Brand, Consumer Products, Production, and Operations teams.
Campaign Oversight & Execution
- Oversee the planning and execution of all major marketing campaigns, launches, and activations.
- Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Review messaging, copy, and channel mix to ensure clarity, consistency, and effectiveness.
- Manage external agencies, media partners, and vendors as required.
Analytics, Performance & Continuous Optimisation
- Own marketing analytics across all channels, with a constant focus on performance, learning, and improvement.
- Actively monitor campaign performance, audience behaviour, and funnel metrics in real time.
- Proactively identify insights and recommend strategic changes to marketing approaches, channel mix, messaging, cadence, and spend.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for executive leadership.
- Establish dashboards, benchmarks, and reporting rhythms that clearly communicate what is working and why.
- Lead experimentation including A/B testing, creative format testing, timing optimisation, and platform-specific iteration.
- Ensure marketing decisions are increasingly evidence-led while respecting creative intent and brand voice.
Systems, Process & Scale
- Audit and improve internal marketing workflows, tools, and processes.
- Build scalable marketing systems that support growth across multiple IPs, platforms, and regions.
- Bring structure and clarity to a fast-moving, creative environment without slowing momentum.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 5+ years in senior marketing roles, ideally within entertainment, digital media, gaming, or IP-driven brands.
- Proven experience owning marketing strategy at a company or brand level.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of digital culture, online communities, and modern content platforms.
- Strong analytical capability with experience defining, tracking, and interpreting KPIs.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, executive-led creative environment.
Preferred
- Experience working with fandoms, collector cultures, or community-driven brands.
- Exposure to consumer products, merch launches, or IP monetisation.
- Experience managing agencies or external partners.
What Success Looks Like
- Marketing strategy evolves continuously based on data, audience behaviour, and platform dynamics.
- Executives receive regular, insight-driven recommendations, not just retrospective reporting.
- Campaigns consistently perform strongly across engagement, growth, and conversion.
- Marketing efforts feel cohesive, intentional, and unmistakably Glitch.
- A confident, aligned marketing team producing high-quality, impactful work.
What we offer:
- A flexible work arrangement and schedule, with options for work from home and flexi-hours.
- A casual and fun office environment where individual input is valued.
- Regular work functions and free entry to conventions and events.
- Close to public transport in the heart of Parramatta CBD.
- Paid for gym memberships.
- Regular company breakfasts/lunches.
- A diverse team that values independent input and career development.
